Library Street Fair Photos--and MORE!

Visited with Deb Perry yesterday at the Wells County Public Library. Seems they have quite a collection of historical postcards they are currently collating into an exhibit. You can read the story in today's issue of the News-Banner.
Deb had quite a few interesting postcards in the collection. Since space in the paper is limited I promised to post a few right here.

(From top to bottom)
This is from the 1908 postcard album of photographer J.E. McClain. No writing on the back.

Opera House, Bluffton, Ind. Jan. 13, 1909 To: “Miss Myrtle Wagner, Dunkirk, Ind. Have to play tonight. Played Mon. Tues. and will tonight. This is our opera house. Will write tomorrow eve. Bye Bye. Spiker.”

May, 1910 To: “Mr. Frank Amsler, North Main St. Goshen, Ind. Hello Frank. Dry town. What else can you do but take a pail and go down to the River. Ted.”

Check back often for more Bluffton Street Fair news, notes and photographs. I'll be posting throughout the day.
