Not Just a Horse and Pony Show

The folks gathered at the 4-H park for the annual Bluffton Street Fair Horse and Pony Show were very grateful I stopped by to visit Tuesday evening.
(Left: Shaylee Baumgartner, 5, stays very still so Sally McConn, a family friend, can attach her helmet.)
Seems they feel a little forgotten, so far away from the downtown festivities.
I assured them everyone who read this Blog would stop by and say "hello," check out the horses, the decorated stalls and the very skilled riders.
Tuesday and Wednesday the kids have a go at it, and then on Thursday night the adults get a chance to show off.
I won't be missing any of the action if I can help it....
(Below left: Riders wait their turns to enter the ring for the balloon bust; Below right: Maggie was a little camera shy at first, but she warmed up when she heard I would be posting these on the Internet.)

Thank you for coming out the 4-H park and seeing what the horses have to offer at the fair. While they seem to be forgotten and left out at times, the horses are still a great part of the tradition that the Bluffton Street Fair has to offer. Please feel free to come out the 4-H park and visit a very fun part of the Street Fair.

Oh my goodness, what a personality that little Maggie has! Just look at that twinkle in her eye.
Surely you interviewed her for a wonderful front page story. You could start, Jerry, with the origin of her name.

P.S. The booth behind Maggie is very good!
